Not ElementS, ElementALS. Big diff An Elemental is an avatar of it's element, so a fire elemental would be a walking, bashing pillar of flame, and earth elemental would be something like the Stone Elemental baddies, and etc.

There was cool talk in another thread about simply making a summoner class. A class whose every spell focused on summoning and maintaining different kinds of creatures. We could think of it as what happens when a Ranger's beastmastery attribute is expanded into four attributes and then given the option of living, undead and elementals.

Yeah, I have to agree. Would be cool if it actually looked like how it is in the spell icon. I don't see why it doesn't look like that. Must be that they didn't finish it. I think that would be a nice spin on the animation looks so it wasn't just another corpse of flesh and who knows what.

Well.. I'll add my input.
I agree that an elite summon would be very cool. I personally think that Bone Minions should apply poison when they strike a foe. Now, this wouldn't make Death Nova entirelly useless, because when the Minion dies, everything surrounding it would become poisoned too, and take the damage.
Anyways, here's my idea..
I loved how Diablo II was so creative with their Poison and Bone Spells. [Bone Wall/Prison/Shield/Spear/Spirit,etc..] If anyone has played Diablo II, you'd know what I'm talking about.

Skill: Bone Shield
Attribute: Soul Reaping [Or Death Magic.. I'm leaning towards Soul Reaping.]
Energy Cost: 5-10
Energy Recharge: 20
Energy Cast: 1/4
Enchantment Spell. Exploit nearest corpse to create a Bone Shield surrounding target self. This spell recieves all damage dealed to target self. After [60] amount of seconds, this spell ends.

Since Bone Shield absorbs all damage dealed to the enchanted target, it will OBVIOUSLY die off faster than the set [X] amount of time. This balances it out, in my opinion.

Corpse pets are already incredibly powerful in some PvP. They key is battles with a lot of corpses.

I remember one such fight, a GvG match, where the opposing guild had us pinned back and all of us were beginning to rack up DP. They had the tower, of course. They rushed the guild master, but as the bodies from that desperate fight began to pile up, so did the bone fiends. 10 level 18 bone fiends turned the fight very quickly.

I think the ability to have a powerful single pet in addition to corpse pets would definitely be overpowered. But it is true, the corpse pet spells are very situational. Perhaps these skills would be exclusionary of eachother; meaning you can have one or the other but not both types of pet out at once. This could give heavily specced death Necros a pet option in PvP fights with not a lot of corpses.

I find myself swapping between blood and death depending on what kind of PvP I'll be doing. To reinforce this point, I tell you I even have two seperate headgear scars. One is death and has a superior death rune, the other is blood and has a superior blood rune.
